Logistics Assistant Dispatcher

LOGISTICS ASSISTANT DISPATCHER (swing and night shifts) Location Commerce City, CO : Summary The Logistics Assistant (Dispatcher) is responsible for coordinating and directing the movement of trucks and product to ensure pickups and deliveries are completed in an efficient and timely manner.
Duties and Responsibilities Serve as a reliable point of contact for drivers and management Build and implement a daily dispatch plan using current software tool (TMW) Monitor customer inventories and contact customer locations for inventory data as needed Take customer phone orders and follow up on customer inquiries Communicate Offen's best price and logistics options to duty drivers Triage and address on-the-road problems and delivery issues as they arise Sort, check, enter, and distribute driver paperwork Work as a team with Offen's sales and supply staff Gain a working knowledge of Offen's dispatching model and processes Prepare invoices for review High school degree or equivalent, logistics or transportation degree preferred At least 2 years of truck transportation dispatch and/or operations experience Knowledge of DOT and OSHA compliance regulations Intermediate computer skills Strong written and verbal communications skills and the ability to collaborate with others Strong problem solving and analytical skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to work 40-50 hours weekly Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibility.
Working Environment and Physical Demands Work is performed in a standard office environment within a warehouse. Requires the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
