A Day in the Life of a Logistics and Receiving Manager… You will handle the schedule of deliveries coming to various loading docks of The Walt Disney Company Property located at 7 Hudson Square.
Work closely with end user departments, shipping and receiving, suppliers, couriers, contractors, production team's, janitorial team, retail managers and the security team to build a daily schedule for usage of loading docks and ensure a safe and efficient workflow.
Liaise with the Security Manager of Dock Operations to provide upcoming delivery schedules and discuss feedback on how to improve the dock schedule and hallway traffic.
Manage the workflow on the docks and traffic within the hallways, including the visitor entrance and wedge barriers leading to the docks.
Provide management support for the Receiving operations and maintain relationships with management in Security, Retail Management Office, Production Operations and high-volume dock users.
Formulate and implement updated policies, procedures, goals, and safety objectives and perform other duties as assigned.
When required, participate in daily, weekly and/or monthly site staff meetings, including corporate planning meetings and conference calls.
Maintain and handle records of upcoming and past schedules, statistics and metrics on schedule compliance, personnel and equipment issues.
Work with staff and management of departments responsible for moving items from the loading docks (Food & coffee, Environmental Services, Waste management and Real Estate Operations).
Supervise operations to ensure that staff members follow administrative policies and procedures, safety rules, union contracts, and government regulations.
Order supplies and equipment as vital following departmental policies.
Here is what you will need to be successful in this role… +5 years of experience in Receiving/Shipping/Logistics and/or other related work
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Good communication and problem solving skills
Attention to detail
State issued license to be able to drive a company vehicle if needed
It would be a plus if you had these skills… Forklift experience
Bachelor's degree in any discipline

The hiring range for this position in New York is $78,800 to $108,300 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
