Job Summary:
Join our team as a Mortgage Loan Officer, where you'll facilitate the mortgage process for clients seeking to purchase or refinance real estate. Acting as a liaison between lenders, agents, and clients, you'll play a pivotal role in guiding individuals through the intricacies of securing their dream home.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Cultivate a client base through referrals and effective marketing strategies.
- Conduct comprehensive interviews with potential and existing clients to understand their unique lending requirements.
- Educate clients on various mortgage options and tailor lending packages to suit their needs.
- Assist clients with completing mortgage applications, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Evaluate loan applications, analyze credit histories, and assess repayment capacity and default risks.
- Stay abreast of local real estate market trends, lending rates, and regulatory changes.
- Foster relationships with real estate professionals to promote our mortgage services.
- Collaborate with processors to meet loan conditions efficiently.
- Manage loan locks and monitor expiration dates.
- Perform additional duties as necessary.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Active NMLS License in WA, OR, CA, ID, or AZ.
- Demonstrated success in sales, with at least 2+ years of experience.
- Minimum 1+ year of experience as a loan originator.
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in lending regulations, lien laws, and loan documentation.
- Meticulous attention to detail and organizational prowess.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving acumen, particularly in financial matters.
- Familiarity with various loan programs, including FHA, VA, and conventional loans.
- Competence in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
