Harvard Resource Solutions is seeking an IP Litigation Paralegal in Chicago, IL on a direct hire basis for our law firm client.
Hybrid Schedule:4 days in office for the first 6 months. 3 days in the office, 2 days at home is standard firm policy.
Summary:
The IP Litigation Paralegal supports attorneys throughout all stages of litigation, specializing in intellectual property cases. Responsibilities include assisting in various legal proceedings, document preparation and filing, conducting research, and managing case logistics. Qualifications include a college degree, at least 5 years of IP litigation experience, familiarity with legal procedures, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in relevant software applications.
Responsibilities: Support all phases of intellectual property litigation. Assist in deposition, mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation. Prepare and file documents for patent and trademark proceedings. Provide assistance in International Trade Commission investigations. Edit, proofread, and analyze legal documents for accuracy and compliance. Conduct investigative and legal research. Draft legal correspondence and assist with document preparation. Manage case logistics and document databases. Ensure compliance with court procedures and guidelines. Communicate effectively and prioritize tasks. Handle confidential information and maintain records.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum 5 years of IP litigation experience. Understanding of civil procedure rules. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in MS Office and legal research tools. Ability to adapt to new technologies. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Dependable and able to work flexible hours.
