Located in downtown Roslyn, we are a bookstore, coffeeshop, gift store, restaurant, & full service bar all rolled into one with an amazing outdoor space that includes the Roslyn Yard.
All hourly employees are included in our Employee tip pool which on average adds an $6-$10 extra per hour bringing your base hourly pay to $22-$30/hr before tax. You must have weekend availability since weekends is when we are the busiest time for us. Duties may include:
-Basic till & POS operation
-assisting our counter position personnel with taking orders from guests & assisting with their menu questions in a friendly manner (generally allergy concerns)
-stocking, rotating product, & assisting with putting away both food & retail orders
-assisting with maintaining store cleanliness
-Food preparation & practicing safe food handling
-working to craft specials and unique soup du jours as well as assisting with menu creation.
-utilizing an espresso machine to craft coffee drinks for yourself & others if desired
-must be comfortable working with involved ownership.
This is a great opportunity for back of house staff to gain some front of house experience.
You must be able to communicate effectively in English in order to assist customers with orders and talk to your coworkers. This position is an active position and will require you to be comfortable with standing on your feet for long periods of time. Must have both an active food handlers permit as well as a MAST card since we serve liquor on premise. We are willing to train the right inexperienced individual and pay starts at minimum wage + tips--we like to bump up hard workers quickly.
If you are experienced in the kitchen and have the skills to prove we are more than willing to start at a higher base pay depending on your experience & skill set.
Must be 18yrs old + with no restrictions for this position.
Must have weekend availability!
