Our rustic yet elegant Adirondack-style lodge and spectacular cottage collection is perched alongside quiet lake waters and the Arnold Palmer Signature Golf Course, while surrounded by 1,900 picture-perfect, "Close to Nature" park acres. Overview: The Lead Server is responsible for overseeing the operation and front of the house staff of the restaurant maintaining the highest level of standards, service and efficiency, in the absence of the Supervisor. Ensure physical atmosphere and cleanliness of restaurant including tables and side stations. Assist in maintaining a smooth-running operation. Monitor food quality and address challenges with Lightburn's Sous Chef Maintain the highest standards of customer service, up to and including guest requests, interactions and resolutions. Provide a pleasant and efficient atmosphere for staff and guests. Assist in inventory control, and end of month counts for the outlet. Responsible for daily paperwork including inventory, product and supply ordering. Assist staff with any problems that may occur. Scheduling of staff according to occupancy level, CEO events, Open Table reservations, and forecasting as needed or directed by supervisors. Attend weekly CEO, and Manager meetings, as assigned by supervisors. Maintain, plan and cover all CEO events planned for the outlet. Maintain open communications with supervisor and Directors, via email, phone, or written communications. Be the assigned trainer of all new front of house staff members. MARGINAL FUNCTIONS: Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by supervisor or manager. Assist directors with hiring and training of all staff. Perform and assist in all positions supervised. ENVIRONMENT: Indoors, dimly lit, carpeted, climate-controlled environment. Hard kitchen floors with occasional slippery or greasy areas. Handling hot china and silver. Outdoors, cement surfaces, with exposure to outdoor climate and elements.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Three years restaurant experience. Ability to make quick decisions in high stress situations. Well organized. Excellent customer service skills.
