Job Summary:
Performs the operation, maintenance and minor repair of all the Central Plant equipment which includes but is not limited to: boilers, chillers, emergency generators, medical air compressors, vacuum pumps, water pumps, water softeners, cooling towers, automation systems, and all related equipment necessary to maintain the plant in good operating conditions.
Job Requirements:
Education and Work Experience:
High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
Experience in a healthcare setting: Preferred
Licenses/Certifications:
State-certified licensure as relevant to trade: Required
Valid Driver's License (DL) and must be at least 21 years of age or older: Required
L.A. City Engineer Unlimited Steam License: Required in Los Angeles County
Facility Specific License/Certifications:
Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS): Required
Department Specific License/Certifications:
Prevention and Management of Violent Behavior (PVMB): Required
Engineer (LMSC): Required
Essential Functions:
Monitors equipment condition to ensure functioning within operating standards.
Schedules and performs minor maintenance to plant equipment.
Coordinates work with other internal and external resources.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Organizational Requirements:
