Licensed Practical Nurse

LPN - Temp assignment - last about 6 weeks - starting as soon as possible.
A large managed care organization has a short-term CONTRACT Position for a Licensed Practical Nurse . Must have two years of related work experience, including data entry along with excellent communication skills, and professional demeanor. Interact with internal and external customers in a courteous manner in person and via telephone. PAY: $27.00 per hour HOURS: Hours per day vary each day. Candidates will work at 2 separate locations. Thomasville & Mt Gilead, NC. Thomasville Schedule: Monday 6a-1p, Wednesday 6a-6p, Thursday 8a-1p. Mt Gilead Schedule: Tuesday 6:45a-2:45p and Friday 6a-11a. MEDICAL MANAGEMENT: Onsite clinic supporting NP Taking vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and weight Basic wound care including cleaning and bandaging injured areas Support and Encourage Medical Management Plans of Patients—blood pressure checks; blood glucose checks Venipunctures for lab services Injections/Vaccines Clinic nurse--patient triage ADMINISTRATIVE: DOCUMENTATION: Charting within Electronic Health Record, eMDs , in accordance to current policies and procedures COMPETENCIES: Good oral, written and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with internal and external customers Ability to function independently and multitask Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding all employee medical information Ability to interpret and follow oral or documented procedures, instructions, laws and policies Ability/willingness to adhere to the established departmental service standards Ability to respond to questions in a tactful and professional manner Ability to project a positive and professional image on behalf of the organization Preferred: Knowledge/Experience of the manufacturing industry Knowledge/Experience with occupational health nursing Knowledge of recordable and non-recordable accidents Knowledge/Experience with onsite health clinics Lower level LPNs or MAs will be considered for contract only Knowledge of medical terminology Minimal 2 Years Nursing Experience CPR Certificate—American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Computer Skills & Typing expertise for use of the Electronic Medical Record Interpersonal/human relations skills Comfortable with computers
