Full job description Introduction The Department of Health Services (DHS) Division of Quality Assurance (DQA), Bureau of Assisted Living (BAL) is recruiting for a Limited Term Employee (LTE) License/Permit Program Associate (LPPA). DQA is responsible for protecting and promoting the health, safety, and welfare of residents living in and being taken care of in health and residential care facilities. This position can be located in Madison, WI or Green Bay, WI.
Of special note regarding Limited Term Employment (LTE) positions with the State of Wisconsin:
LTE positions are not civil service classified positions, do not give any rights to a permanent civil service classified position, and do not lead to permanent status. Position Summary As LPPA, you are responsible for:
reviewing and processing pending license, certification, and registration applications for assisted living facilities including Community-Based Residential Facilities (CBRFs), Adult Family Homes (AFHs), Residential Care Apartment Complexes (RCAC), new facilities, changes of ownership, renewals and licensure amendments. providing technical assistance to applicants, existing licensees and the public regarding the initial licensing/certification/registration process, regulations and procedures. monitoring receipt of required license/ certification fees (initial/renewal/amendments), reviewing submitted application material for compliance with applicable licensing/certification/registration rules, monitoring licensing/certification/registration status and processing licensing letter of transmittal and license/certification/registration certificate. evaluating initial/change of ownership survey data to ensure the accuracy of recommendations for facility licensure. reviewing the caregiver background checks as part of the licensing process. ensuring appropriate fees are paid by the assisted living communities, reconciling and verifying monthly statements for the Bureau of Fiscal Services. data entry, tracking, and accurate report processing of the Adult Program Information System (APIS). Salary Information The starting pay is $21.23 per hour or the minimum at the time of appointment. The pay schedule and range is 02/11. This is an LTE appointment and is limited to 1039 hours in a year.
Job Details All applicants who may be appointed to this position will be required to allow DHS to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled.
DHS does not sponsor work visas for this position, thus, in compliance with federal law, selected candidates will be required to verify eligibility to work in the United States by completing the required I-9 form upon hire.
Employees must have access to both a private workspace and secure high-speed internet for remote work option. Mileage reimbursement to the employee's headquarter location is not provided. Remote work flexibility will be discussed in more detail during the interview process.
Qualifications Minimally qualified applicants will have all of the following:
Experience providing administrative support in an office environment (e.g., scheduling meetings, updating procedures, maintaining files, tracking payments and fees, etc.). Experience entering data into computer programs or data systems (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Access, etc.). Experience providing customer service to internal and external partners (e.g., responding to inquiries, explaining policies and procedures, resolving issues, etc.). Well-qualified applicants will also have one or more of the following:
Experience reviewing application materials for licensures and certifications to ensure accuracy and completeness. Experience working in a health care environment and using health care terminology. Experience working in healthcare in a clinic or government agency. Experience in accounts receivable. Experience taking and triaging complaints. Your letter of qualifications is limited to 1 page.
