Description
The Waupun Area School District is searching for a full-time Library Media Aide / Instructional Paraprofessional at Rock River Intermediate School for the 2024-25 school year. The position is full time with hours from 7:45 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. and includes benefits. This position will provide library and technology resource support and assistance to students, staff, and teaching staff. This person will assist with classroom activities, provide one-on-one or small group support, assist with classroom management, and reinforce instruction. They will also collaborate with teachers to create a positive, inclusive learning environment for lal students.

The Waupun Area School District is a 4K-12 school district serving a population of 1900 students in South Central Wisconsin. Located conveniently on Hwy 151, Waupun is only 45 minutes north of Madison and 20 minutes south of Fond du Lac. WASD is home to four schools, including a charter school in Fox Lake. The Waupun Area School District consists of Meadow View Primary School (grades 4K-1), Rock River Intermediate School (grades 2-6), the Junior/Senior High School (grades 7-12), and SAGES Charter School (Fox Lake, grades 4K-6).

Qualifications
Process and prepare materials for circulation; check packing slips Check materials in/out to students and staff and maintain the District circulation system Keep the library neat, orderly, and welcoming, including creating displays to feature new and existing materials Maintain collection; take inventory, repair materials, assist with reviewing and the thinning of material selection Assist students and staff in locating materials Process in district inter-library loan requests Assist in ensuring overdue materials are returned Check supply inventory; keep storage rooms neat and orderly Develop rapport and maintain positive interactions with students and other stakeholders Assist students in developing basic literacy, numeracy, and self-care skills Assist teacher with all aspects of instructional operations and strategies Work independently with students both in small and large group settings Must be physically fit and mobile as the position may require the aide to bend, stoop, and spend long periods of time on the floor Skilled at motivating students, monitoring student activity, and maintaining student engagement in the appropriate task Operate computer software, electronics, and devices for instruction and related programs Maintain confidentiality Provide student supervision as assigned Perform other duties as assigned Candidate must be willing to fulfill DPI Title 1 requirements if minimum education requirements has not been met.
