The College of Literature, Science, and the Arts, and the Department of Chemistry at the University of Michigan invite applications for a Lecturer I position at 66.66% effort for the Summer Half-Term 2024 (July 1, 2024 - August 31, 2024). This appointment is scheduled to begin on June 28, 2024, and end on August 16, 2024.
The Department of Chemistry is seeking an individual to teach Chemistry 130 - Macroscopic Investigations and Reaction Principles. The duty of this position is expected to include teaching, developing course materials, evaluating, and grading students, and holding regularly scheduled office hours.
The candidate must hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a closely related field. Qualified candidates should be fluent in the area of expertise and exhibit evidence of excellent teaching skills.
This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Lecturers Employee Organization, AFL-CIO, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
