Legal Nurse Consultant

Primary Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive consultation, meticulous research, and thorough investigation of medical records with precision and attention to detail.
Deliver clear and concise medical record chronologies, summaries, and analyses to aid in legal proceedings.
Conduct in-depth research of medical literature pertinent to cases, ensuring thorough understanding and application.
Analyze pre-deposition and post-deposition transcript data involving expert witnesses to support legal strategies effectively.
Offer invaluable pre-trial and trial support to attorneys, facilitating smooth proceedings.
Investigate potential irregularities in medical billing to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Identify and recommend appropriate medical experts through diligent research and evaluation.
Collaborate closely with medical experts, providing them with necessary data and assistance to ensure clarity and accuracy in their assessments.
Undertake any additional duties as assigned, contributing proactively to the team's success.
Skills, Qualifications & Educational Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) coupled with a minimum of 5 years' clinical experience, holding a valid state registered nursing license.
Obstetrics experience is highly valued.
Possession of a Legal Nurse Consultant Certificate (LNCC) is preferred, showcasing specialized expertise in the field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other office technology, including document management tools, to efficiently handle tasks.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex medical information clearly and effectively.
Ability to meticulously perform billable work and adhere to time recording practices in alignment with client and firm policies.
Proven capability to thrive under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks concurrently while exercising sound judgment in decision-making.
