During this ten-week legal internship, you will work under the direction and guidance of experienced Healthcare and Regulatory compliance attorneys as well as Trade Compliance professionals to support the company's strategic efforts by providing general legal guidance regarding a variety compliance and regulatory concerns across the Diagnostics Operating companies. The internship will commence on June 03, 2024, and will be remote out of the Beckman Coulter office located in Brea, California.
You will be a part of a dynamic and exciting Legal and Compliance team and will have the opportunity to work with numerous attorneys and other professionals in the company's global legal organization while reporting to the Diagnostics Chief Compliance Officer.  You will be exposed to both legal and business aspects when contributing to the formation of legal advice, investigations, and strategy.  If you are interested in getting to experience real in-house legal work and want to work to build a world-class legal organization—read on.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to participate in one or more of the following legal and compliance practice areas : Regulatory, including both healthcare compliance, and trade compliance concerns and analysis. Conduct legal research on laws, regulations, and industry standards relevant to the diagnostics industry. Develop standard work and training to support internal education on core compliance matters. The essential requirements of the job include: Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited University Must have completed at least one year of law school education in an ABA Accredited J.D. program with an anticipated graduation date in 2025 or 2026 . Experience with legal research and writing. This would be a plus: Attention to detail, creative thinking, comfortable in a collaborative environment. This is paid position with a salary of $1,000 per week.
