Responsibilities
• Delivering in-person, medium to large enrollment courses at the undergraduate level• Developing and delivering course content• Coordinating laboratory activities• Assessing students and utilizing the Canvas learning management system• Providing assistance to students during office hours• Collaborating with colleagues to enhance the learning experience• Potential opportunities to teach in other areas or in online courses• Engaging in departmental activities and taking on service responsibilities• Promoting faculty development• Advancing through the lecturer ranks
Requirements
• Ph.D. in microbiology or related discipline• Strong communication skills• Experience in science communication, outreach, teaching, or assisting in teaching university-level courses including microbiology
