Leave Administration Analyst Location Richmond, VA (The Fan area) : VCU HR has an exciting opportunity for a Leave Administration Analyst to join our team! Learn more about VCU's benefits: Duties and responsibilities of the Leave Administration Analyst include, but are not limited to: Administer VCU's leave programs and processes, such as short-term disability and workers' compensation claims, parental leave, FMLA, military leave, leave audits and adjustments, etc. in support of VCU employees Create, maintain and track all leave and workers' compensation records for leave programs for compliance and required ARMICS testing Serve as a VCU HR resource to HR contacts in schools/divisions by providing accurate information and excellent customer service with disability, workers' compensation, and other benefits, leave and timekeeping related requests Professionally deliver VCU Leave & Timekeeping Training to new timekeepers and HR Associates on a monthly basis, and when requested Direct employees to benefits and leave resources such as plan provisions and programs, eligibility requirements, benefits enrollments, mid-year qualifying events, job status changes, service date and leave adjustments, etc. Develop subject matter expertise in the areas of benefits and leave administration to ensure continuous process improvement of programs, standard operating procedures, and benefits and leave resources, Perform quality control checks for leave related data each pay period and analyze cyclical trends, Resolve employee issues with leave related matters independently and in collaboration with team members Provide backup and additional coverage for the benefits and leave teams, i.e., open enrollment, etc. Meet required payroll deadlines on time, in addition to completing all other duties and projects as assigned Assist facilitator of the Benefits & Leave orientation for VCU's new hires 2 to 3 times per month, in partnership with team members Minimum Qualifications: Outstanding customer service skills, a high degree of professionalism, excellent attention to detail in a fast paced environment, ability to meet required payroll deadlines, a reliable attendance record, and the ability to balance multiple priorities while meeting all other deadlines Ability to understand and apply policies and procedures for all areas of responsibility and solve problems independently using available resources Excellent oral and written communication skills in standard business English and the ability to handle confidential/sensitive information appropriately and discreetly Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Google suite, and excellent mathematical skills to perform accurate leave and pay calculations A commitment to VCU's core competencies of accountability, integrity, achievement, collaboration, diversity, innovation, and service excellence Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff and student environment or commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU Preferred Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or related field preferred, or equivalent applicable training and experience Working knowledge or proficiency in Banner, RealTime, Cardinal, DocuSign, Cherwell ticketing system, or experience with another HRIS system VCU combines learning, research, creativity, service and discovery with a commitment to inclusive excellence.
