Summary The Leasing Analyst will be an integral part of the Leasing team, supporting Commercial, Mechanical, Logistics, and other groups within Greenbrier and reporting to the Leasing Manager. Ideally, this position will be cross-trained to assist as needed with the other Leasing Analyst. Possesses the willingness and drive to become an expert in railcar leasing.
Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform the following essential duties satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned to address business needs and changing business practices. Used Rail Car Lease Pricing: Assist in setting lease pricing that is the most attractive for renewal/remarketing by rail car type. In conjunction with the Marketing and Leasing Team, develop shipper profiles for all shippers who use the various rail car types. Develop and share with car owners the management strategy for their fleet, including proactive renewal pricing, off-lease car pricing guidance, and ad-hoc issues as they arise day to day. Project Management: Monitor progress from proposal to delivery of rail cars. Work with mechanical on getting any scope of work set up and repair shop sourced. Work with logistics on setting up disposition and customer reports. Follow up with legal teams on documentation. Set up lease return information with logistics, billing, mechanical, and contract teams.  Conduct post-project analysis to identify variances from estimates to actuals. Inventory Management: Work with Commercial as a railcar subject matter expert to target and answer questions about inventory which best fits customer requirements. Coordinate with logistics teams on where to send off lease railcars. Maintain the Salesforce inventory records with location, quantity, and car specs. Reporting: Bi-monthly report meeting with legal, accounting, logistics, mechanical, and contract administration on used car lease originations, lease returns, and renewals Monthly Fleet Remarketing report and distribute an inventory report to a broad audience. Maintain Salesforce fleet profiles, renewal opportunities, and other activities in Salesforce as needed. Qualifications The following generally describes requirements to successfully perform the assigned duties. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree 1 to 3 years of professional and analytical experience Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite Able to work with multiple departments to achieve deadlines. Attention to detail.
