Responsible for managing the infrastructure, planning, and execution of projects encompassing all facility disciplines within a large-scale heavy manufacturing environment. Plans, designs, and oversees the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures. Coordinates and Leads efforts in the Plant Engineering/Facilities Department to ensure employees are completing work assignments. Manages individual and team contributions in pursuit of overall facilities goal achievement. Engages in facilities management team based on strategic planning. Supervises employees and/or outside contractors who construct, maintain, and repair utilities systems, buildings, and equipment deploying skilled tradesmen and/or general maintenance personnel. Participates in performance management initiatives. Participate in contract proposals, reviews estimate of production cost, performance requirements, and delivery schedules. Implements policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state laws related to the workplace. Performs inspection and implements corrective action when necessary. Identifies hazardous workplace conditions, removes hazards and/or protects employees by guarding, revising work procedures. Performs training and ensures use of personal protective equipment. Investigates, prepares, and forwards as required reports on injuries. Ensures correct labor charging practices training, auditing, and assisting the hourly employees in this practice. Identifies and supplies forms/information regarding property accountability. Conducts property audits. Makes/performs the necessary requests for maintenance, repair of company, and/or government property. Prepares and coordinates the plans and schedules for new existing programs. Determines, monitors, and review costs, operational budgets, schedules, and manpower requirements. Formulates and recommends/takes necessary corrective action such as schedule revisions, manpower adjustments and work requirements. Forward visionary of new and innovative methods and technology in the maintenance and facilities environment.
Position Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, Operations or Construction Management
-10+ years relevant experience
-Must be at least 18 years of age and a US citizen.
-Must be able to obtain unescorted access to the facility through the vetting process as administered by the Department of Army Police.
-Must be able to obtain / maintain DOD Secret security clearance.
-Demonstrated proficiency in communication skills (written, verbal, computer) required.
-Ability to coordinate, organize and assign work
-Must be able to work independently or with minimum oversight to address responsibilities.
-Must have good time management skills.
-Demonstrated ability to lead and work collaboratively in a teaming environment with unionized workforce to support customer and manufacturing requirements.
