Job Description SummaryThe Lead Test Engineering Specialist will be responsible for aerospace electrical power generation systems test life-cycle from system test requirements development, design and development of test equipment, verification and validation of test equipment.If you're looking for a position where each day varies while having the opportunity to learn and potentially jump into tasks outside of the job description then this is the role for you!*Please note that this role will be required to sit onsite at our Vandalia, OH facilityJob DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for day to day support of final test operations including troubleshooting and repair of complex test systemsResponsible for design and construction of test facilities, instrumentation systems and the development of test softwareDeveloping in-depth knowledge of a power generation and conversion systemsWill be responsible for managing small projects related to cost out and continuous improvementUses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategyIn-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the areaHas access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problemsMay use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisionsRequired QualificationsBachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of engineering, scientific or other technical experience)Plus a minimum of 3 years of experience in an engineering position related to electrical power generation systemsThis role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Citizens.
