Turo

Details of the offer

Turo is the world’s largest car sharing marketplace where you can book the perfect car for wherever you’re going from a vibrant community of trusted hosts across the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and France. Whether you’re flying in from afar or looking for a car down the street, searching for a rugged truck or something smooth and swanky, Turo puts you in the driver’s seat of an extraordinary selection of cars shared by local hosts.

About the team:
Turo's mission is to put the world’s 1.5+ billion cars to better use and our Payment platform team plays an integral and crucial part in realizing this mission. Our platform serves as the central hub for all financial transactions across our marketplace, facilitating the seamless movement of money among all users (such as guests, hosts, vehicle repair shops, third-party vendors). As the backbone of all our service offerings, we collaborate closely with other product teams and stakeholders — including tax, legal, accounting, FP&A, analytics, and support teams—to shape and execute our payments, billing services, and tax infrastructure roadmap. Recent innovations in our payments infrastructure include enhancing booking conversion rates by providing guests with greater payment flexibility and improving payment processing to generate substantial savings on cross-border fees. We are now seeking an outstanding Product Manager to lead our team in developing an efficient, reliable, and adaptable payment, billing, and tax platform that is integral to driving our global business growth.
What you’ll do:
You’ll lead the strategic vision, roadmap, and execution of Turo's next-generation billing and payments platform, catalyzing the expansion of our business lines and facilitating the emergence of novel business models on a global scale.
You’ll partner closely with our payments engineering team to identify, prioritize, and lead the implementation of initiatives aimed at generating revenue and reducing costs associated with payment systems, billing processes, tax infrastructure, and related services.
You'll collaborate with partner product development teams and various cross-functional stakeholders, such as tax, legal, accounting, FP&A, analytics, and support teams, to develop interfaces for payment, billing, and tax-related products.
You’ll analyze and report on key product initiatives to leadership, product teams and other key stakeholders.

Your profile:
Extensive product management expertise in the payments/financial services sector, covering both B2B and B2C segments. Experience managing internal and third-party payment services like Stripe and Adyen as a product manager is preferred.
Familiarity with accounting, revenue recognition, and tax principles, coupled with experience in developing and overseeing internal systems to meet these requirements.
Strong technical acumen to conceptualize and create products for our internal development teams; engineering background preferred.
Experience working with product development teams to prioritize, build, and ship world class product experiences.
Outstanding judgment and self-direction, with ability to drive major initiatives and create impact autonomously.

The San Francisco base salary target range for this full-time position is $166,000 - $208,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
