About The RoleThe Community Product Design team is looking for a Contract Lead Product Designer with a social media background who's excited to craft experiences that will engage users and foster a supportive, professional community. We need a contract teammate who knows how to marry function and fun, and who can offer creative, innovative solutions that fit into the long-term vision for the product. We're seeking someone with a collaborative leadership mentality, who's not afraid to dive in, take charge, and leverage their design expertise to craft best-in-class experiences. You will collaborate with designers, researchers, developers, and product managers to design user-focused surfaces and systems across web and app. This is a twelve month contract opportunity with a target start date of April 1, 2024. There may be opportunities for contract extension or conversion to a full-time role based on performance and business needs, but it cannot be guaranteed.To succeed in this role, you should have a solid grasp of the social media space, UX process, system thinking, attention to detail, and a strong portfolio showcasing your customer-centric experiences across a range of touch-points. Familiarity with Figma is required. You should feel comfortable presenting your work, advocating for your choices, and explaining your thinking while maintaining an open mind.
