Sign up for our weekly job openings newsletter.The Lead Janitorial Specialist performs all specialized and restorative cleaning and maintenance tasks associated with the Janitorial team at Relay Resources. The Lead Janitorial Specialist will oversee a small crew of Janitorial Specialists in performing tasks associated with the maintenance of carpets and hard surface floors, large-scale cleanings and deep cleaning and disinfections of client sites. Driving is an essential function of this job. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Carpet Care: Perform pre-spotting, extraction, and bonneting on carpets in multiple work sites Use only Relay-approved carpet cleaning methods, chemicals and equipment Upholstery cleaning tasks as required Utilize truck mount and portable carpet cleaning equipment in work performance Hard Floor Maintenance: Perform stripping, scrubbing, sealing, applying finish and polishing on hard floor surfaces in multiple work sites Use only Relay-approved floor methods, finishes, sealers and chemicals Utilize auto scrubber and burnishing machine in work performance Utilize turbo tool equipment for grout / hard floor surface cleaning Window Cleaning: Perform interior and exterior window cleaning without the use of ladders or lifts Use specialized window cleaning tools and techniques Specialized Janitorial Tasks: Perform on-demand janitorial duties at various sites to assist in large-scale cleaning operations such as post construction cleans and large-scale disinfections Utilize specialized janitorial equipment to perform tasks such as electrostatic sprayers, Kaivac restroom cleaners and commercial pressure washers Quality Assurance: Ensure specialty work is completed on time and work schedule is being met Ensure quality control measures are met in all aspects of job performance Administrative: Maintain a daily log of work activities Maintain equipment in proper working condition and meet equipment safety requirements Report all equipment problems to supervisor Keep inventory of supplies Safety: Ensure safety measures are met according to the janitorial contract, organization safety guidelines and the State and Federal laws Ensure SDS book is current and carried to all sites where work is performed Qualifications and Experience: Two plus years of verifiable carpet maintenance experience Two plus years of verifiable floor stripping and finishing experience Have or be able to obtain IICRC carpet certification within 180 days of employment to perform carpet cleaning tasks Janitorial/custodial experience strongly preferred Have reliable transportation to and from work Strong English communication skills, both oral and written Valid driver's license and reliable automobile, safe driving record and insurance coverage acceptable to RR's insurance carrier Ability to pass drug screening and criminal history background check and/or fingerprinting as appropriate at any time during employment The Benefits:??? SEIU benefits include medical, dental, paid time off, paid sick days, and paid holidays. Employees must complete 1040 hours of work and maintain 120 hours a month to be benefits eligible.
