Responsibilities
• Analyze take offs for quantity comparisons• Analyze geotech report• Prepare risk analysis/strategy• Solicit subcontractors and vendors/handle questions/scope issues• Ensure DBE goals are met• Prepare and submit questions to owner• Order bid bond, request railroad/builders risk insurance quotes• Prepare subcontractor and vendor scope sheets• Detailed cost breakdowns• Calculate trucking, productions, crew hours
Requirements
• 4 year degree in construction management or civil engineering desired• Equivalent experience in heavy highway construction• Valid state driver's license and satisfactory driving record required• Knowledge of HCSS, AGTEK Highway 3D, Microsoft Projects, and Microsoft Office Products a plus• Demonstrated commitment to achieving organizational goals and objective• High ethical standards• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills• Strong negotiation skills and ability to work with suppliers• Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)• Understanding of procurement's impact on financial results
