What you'll doLead a team of functional safety engineers responsible for developing and implementing strategies for functional safety to ensure whole vehicle compliance with relevant safety standards such as ISO 26262.Provide a clear and comprehensive plan towards defining functional safety requirements and validation for whole vehicle in accordance with relevant safety standards including ISO 26262.Work across internal module groups to support functional safety topics.Work with outside vendors that specialize in functional safety training, requirements development, and validation to assist in achieving vehicle functional safety targets.Lead analysis of functional safety requirements according to ISO 26262 to draw meaningful conclusions and make recommendations; ensure vehicle design meets ISO 26262 requirements and other industry functional safety standards.Analyze system architectures, identify safety requirements, and define safety goals and targets.Identify potential hazards related to functional safety and implement effective strategies to mitigate these risks associated with electronic systems in vehicles.Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events regularly. This role may be based out of a Scout Motors location in Novi, MI.
