Details of the offer

What you’ll do

Build-up of Electronics Laboratory to support various E/E integration, component, and verification & validation activities.
Work with E/E integration team to build and maintain test benches and lab cars.
Validate electrical connections i.e. Ethernet, CAN/CANFD, LIN communications.
Work with Scout Engineers to build specialty harnesses and modify existing wire harnesses.
Build-up of specialty electronic component and test equipment.
Plan, schedule, coordinate, and supervise electronics lab personnel, test processes, and methods.
Supervise all electronics lab resources to satisfy engineering requests, coordinate/maintain calibration, and preventative maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and test equipment.
Maintain lab documentation such as build-test requests, central-lab test requests, lab procedures, test procedures, standards, test reports and work instructions.
Make recommendations on capital equipment purchases and generate purchase requisitions for equipment in the budget.
Direct activities to establish and maintain compliance with company safety and good housekeeping standards (5S).
Work with component, system, and V&V engineers to support various E/E activities.

Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events regularly. This role may be based out of a Scout Motors location in Novi, MI. Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, mechatronic engineering, software engineering, automotive engineering, electrical engineering or a related field.
10+ years of experience working in an automotive electronics lab.
Experience in building up electronics lab in an automotive environment.
Experience in implementing 5S in an electronics lab.
Expertise in using E/E lab equipment (oscilloscope, multimeters, function generators, soldering irons, etc.)
Ability to understand E/E component and wiring schematics.
Experience working with electric vehicles.
Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities within established timelines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Pay Transparency

This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
Initial base salary range = $150,000-$180,000
Internal leveling code: IC7
