Job Description SummaryAs a Sr. Staff Process Monitoring Engineer, you will be responsible for designing highly complex modules, critical components or a whole application product made up of sensor and image acquisition, embedded systems and analytics software. This position is a technical leader responsible for driving the design and development efforts related to Additive printing process monitoring capabilities in alignment with the product / application roadmap. This position is approved for a hybrid/remote work schedule.Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesArchitects, designs and/or programs/develops a small module or a large component, feature, set of feature, whole feature area or entire embedded software product. Some areas of expertise may include, but is not limited to, sensor and image acquisition, linux operating systems, cybersecurity, and FPGA-based hardware acceleration.Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum development environment. Ability to break down complex problems into appropriately sized stories with complete definition of done and acceptance criteria.Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.Write code that meets standards and delivers the desired functionality using the technology selected for the projectParticipate in design reviews. Presenting and defending designs and plans in sessions senior leadership.Implement software interfaces for sensor and image acquisitionImplement signals and image analysis softwareDemonstrate the ability to make informed technical choices after due diligence and impact assessmentRequired QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or in "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math)A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Embedded Systems Development OR Master's Degree with 3 years of experience in Embedded Systems DevelopmentMust be willing to travelDesired CharacteristicsTechnical ExpertiseStrong experience in Linux operating systems and virtualized environmentsStrong knowledge of git source control tools and best practicesExperience with developing using Linux Containers (e.g. Docker)Experience with Continuous Integration testing environment (e.g. Jenkins, etc.)Hands-on experience in signals and/or image analysis with a variety of algorithms and techniques, ideally using OpenCVHands-on experience in sensor and/or camera acquisition software development in C++, C# or pythonFamiliarity with the Xilinx Vitis/Vivado Tool Suite, Xilinx Ultrascale+ Device Family.Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.Business AcumenStrong problem solving abilities and capable of articulating specific technical topics or assignmentsInfluences through others; builds direct and "behind the scenes" support for ideasDemonstrates awareness about competitors and industry trendsPersonal Attributes:Able to work under minimal supervisionAble to work well with global teams, including time-zone flexibilityThis role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
