Job Description SummaryAs a Controls and Automation Engineer at GE Renewables Grid Solutions, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge control systems for renewable energy projects. Utilize your expertise in automation to enhance system performance and reliability.PLC and SCADA Programming:Develop and implement programmable logic controller (PLC) and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems to monitor and control grid solutions. Ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.Integration of Renewable Technologies:Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate various renewable technologies into the overall control system. Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to achieve seamless communication and interoperability.Fault Analysis and Resolution:Conduct thorough analysis of control system faults and implement effective solutions. Utilize your troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues promptly, ensuring minimal downtime of renewable energy systems.Cybersecurity Implementation:Implement robust cybersecurity measures to safeguard control systems against potential threats. Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies to enhance the security posture of grid solutions.Testing and Validation:Plan and conduct comprehensive testing procedures to validate the functionality and performance of control systems.
