Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Bartender to oversee our beverage program at our upscale craft cocktail bar and restaurant. The Lead Bartender will be responsible for creating innovative cocktails, training and mentoring staff, and ensuring exceptional service standards are maintained. This position requires all of the qualifications of server. Responsibilities: Develop and execute creative and seasonal cocktail menus that showcase craftsmanship and innovation. Train, mentor, and supervise bartending staff, providing guidance on technique, product knowledge, and service standards. Oversee bar operations, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining cost controls. Ensure all beverages are prepared and served according to established recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines. Monitor and enforce compliance with all safety, sanitation, and alcohol service policies and regulations. Collaborate with management to develop and implement promotions, events, and special offerings to drive sales and enhance the guest experience. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area, including equipment maintenance and cleanliness. Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, addressing concerns, and ensuring their satisfaction. Requirements: Bartending Experience: A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a bartender in an upscale or high-end cocktail bar is required. During this time, the candidate should have developed expertise in crafting a wide range of cocktails, including classic recipes and innovative creations. They should have a keen understanding of flavor profiles, mixology techniques, and presentation aesthetics. Leadership and Supervisory Roles: The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in a supervisory or lead bartender position. This role involves overseeing bar operations, including managing staff, delegating tasks, and ensuring smooth service flow. Experience in training and mentoring junior bartenders is essential, as is the ability to lead by example and inspire excellence in the team. Menu Development and Innovation: Demonstrated experience in developing and executing seasonal cocktail menus is highly desirable. The lead bartender should have a creative flair for crafting unique and memorable drinks that align with the bar's concept and clientele. They should be adept at experimenting with new ingredients, techniques, and flavor combinations to keep the menu fresh and exciting. Customer Engagement and Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer service are paramount. The lead bartender should have a proven track record of building rapport with guests, anticipating their needs, and exceeding their expectations. They should be comfortable engaging with patrons, offering recommendations, and creating personalized experiences to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty. Bar Operations Management: Proficiency in all aspects of bar operations, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining cost controls, is essential. The lead bartender should have experience in managing inventory levels, minimizing waste, and optimizing profitability while ensuring that quality standards are upheld. They should also be familiar with bar equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Collaboration and Communication: Effective communication and collaboration skills are key to success in this role. The lead bartender should be able to liaise effectively with management, kitchen staff, and servers to coordinate service and address any issues that arise. They should also be adept at communicating with the bar team, providing feedback, and fostering a positive and cohesive work environment. Event Planning and Execution: Experience in planning and executing special events, promotions, and themed nights is advantageous. The lead bartender should be able to contribute creative ideas for events, coordinate logistics, and ensure that all aspects of the beverage service align with the event theme and objectives. All requirements of the bartender position. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Compensation: 1. This position is paid hourly at $15
