Full-Time - Laundry WorkerWe're seeking a friendly and reliable Laundry Attendant to make sure our hotel guests are satisfied during their stay. We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic team member who enjoys working as a team. Responsibilities include washing, drying, and folding linens. You should ideally have experience with industrial washing products as well as the ability to lift 20 pounds or more on a consistent basis. Apply now if you're a team player looking for a great opportunity in hospitality!Responsibilities:Sorting, washing, drying, pressing, and folding clothing and other textile itemsRemoving stains from items using the appropriate proceduresKeeping an updated inventory of laundry detergentsTracking maintenance and repairs on laundering equipmentEnsuring that the facility always remains cleanOther duties as assigned by managementThe worker is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changesThe worker is subject to hazards: Including a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, and exposure to chemicalsKneeling: Bending legs at the knee to come to a rest on the knee or kneesRepetitive motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingersBenefitsSpecial Summer Bonus program for all team members May - SeptMedical, Dental, and Vision available depending on hours workedPaid Time Off based on length of service and average hours worked7 Holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day (All Team Members are eligible for holiday benefits)401K program available after 1 year of employmentGo Hilton (Team Member Travel Discount)Qualifications:At least 1 year of experience as a laundry attendant, housekeeper or similar role preferredMust be able to lift 20 pounds on a consistent basisPossesses a strong work ethic with exemplary organizational, time management, and communication skillsHigh school diploma or equivalent is advantageousPrior experience in a similar role is preferableFamiliarity with cleaning detergents and laundering equipmentAbility to stand for long periodsBasic arithmetic skillsOutstanding organizational and time management skillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsPersonable disposition with a knack for customer serviceMedium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objectsStooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.
