Infinity Natural Resources is a growing oil and gas operator located in Morgantown, West Virginia with operations throughout the Appalachian Basin. We are seeking a skilled Land Accounting / Division Order Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in financial planning, analysis, and reporting related to land acquisition and management, as well as set up and maintain division of interests for Marcellus and Utica Shale wells. This position involves collaborating with INR's Accounting Department to ensure accurate budgeting, cost tracking, optimization of land-related expenses, accurate payment of revenue, and billing of well costs. What you will be doing: Work closely with land and accounting teams to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of land-related expenses. Develop and maintain comprehensive budgets for land acquisitions and ongoing management activities. Analyze and report on variances between budgeted and actual expenditures, providing insights and recommendations for cost optimization. Conduct periodic financial reviews, identifying trends, and making data-driven recommendations to enhance efficiency. Conduct thorough examinations of title opinions and related documents to determine ownership interests in oil and gas properties. Build and maintain division of interests and pay decks. Review, confirm, and communicate ownership changes with the accounting team. Manage Non-Op COPAS and financial obligations. Your Background: Associates Degree in business, accounting, land, or related field; relevant experience may be substituted. 3+ years of experience with land, land administration, or division of interests. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel. Ability to meet specific deadlines based on department needs and work with minimal supervision. Must be detail oriented with strong analytical and communication skills and have the ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Extremely team-oriented with strong oral and written skills to convey information clearly and persuasively. Results-oriented with a sense of urgency.
