Job summary
The LAN Administrator must be proficient in Cisco platforms.They will be responsible for supporting local area networks for multiple locations, based mainly in the US and Mexico.This includes, but is not limited to configuring, managing, and supporting critical network devices and maintaining a 99% uptime.
Job seniority: mid-to-senior level
Responsibilities
• Configure, manage, and support critical network devices and maintain a 99% uptime.• Troubleshoot route, switch, firewall, and wireless issues.• Provide analysis for root cause of issues with recommendations for improvements.• Understanding of IT change management processes.• Create and/or maintain current quality documentation of local area networks.• Engage with customers, business, IT, and corporate partners effectively at all levels.• Effectively engage Level 1 (customer contact) and Level 2 (initial troubleshooting and resolution).
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering from an accredited institution.• A minimum of 3 years of experience implementing and supporting network solutions with Multi-platform Cisco Routers, Switches, VoIP, and CCNA certification.
Key Skills Needed
• Proficiency in Cisco platforms• Knowledge of route, switch, firewall, and wireless troubleshooting• Strong customer engagement skills• Excellent interpersonal and presentational skills• Effective communication (verbally and written)
