Overview:
As a Lactation Consultant, you'll play a vital role in supporting lactating mothers and their families. Using the nursing process, you'll assess needs, develop tailored care plans, and provide education to promote optimal outcomes. Serving as a clinical resource, you'll collaborate with healthcare professionals and contribute to quality improvement initiatives within our Lactation Services and clinical areas.

Responsibilities:
Develop and implement lactation-specific care plans to support breastfeeding/human milk feeding families, focusing on optimal patient outcomes.
Meet the educational needs of mothers and families through effective teaching strategies.
Serve as a clinical resource for the care team, providing guidance and consultation.
Participate in performance improvement activities to enhance service delivery.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree BSN and 3-5 years of experience in pediatric medical, neonatal, or mother/baby care.
Valid RN license for Missouri or Kansas, or compact license for other states.
International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) certification required.
Life Support Certifications as per policy required upon hire.
Starting Pay:
Our pay is competitive within the market, starting at $32.33/hr, with offers based on education and experience.
Remote Work/Work from Home:
This position offers intermittent remote work, with a mix of at-home and on-site hours. Candidates must reside in the Kansas City metro area.
