Position SummaryThe Laborer is a member of the Office of Housing Administration and Housing Facilities Services team. In conjunction with the Executive Director, Senior Associate Director, Associate and Assistant Directors, and other managers, staff, and students, this position assists in carrying out the mission, vision, and values of the Office of Housing Administration and is responsible for supporting and contributing to an atmosphere that facilitates respect, inclusivity, collaboration and growth.Under immediate supervision, and in accordance with schedules or instruction, the incumbent performs the full range of general manual labor (moving heavy objects such as equipment, furniture, materials and supplies, assist with event set-up, cleaning and maintaining upholstery, cleaning and maintaining hard surfaces on patio and exterior furniture, power washing assigned areas, managing trash compactors and trash chutes, removing construction debris, cleaning gutters and drainage structures, hauling waste and recyclables, cleaning carpet and floors and general floor care, assisting trades and grounds workers, supporting the compost program and clearing trash chutes and compactors).This is a full-time (1.0 time-base), benefits eligible, permanent/probationary position. This position is designated non-exempt under FLSA and is eligible for overtime compensation.
