Job DescriptionThe Lam laboratory in the Department of Biological Sciences at Virginia Tech is recruiting a laboratory technician who can independently oversee and help with ongoing research activities. The candidate will also assist the PI with operational oversight of the laboratory including ordering supplies, maintaining lab equipment, organizing the lab and helping other group members with experiments as necessary. The candidate will be trained in the specifics of the job in a molecular laboratory setting and then is expected to function independently and responsibly while reporting directly to the laboratory PI.
