Conduct routine laboratory analysis, instrument operation, instrument maintenance, and quality control. Provides support to MLT II and MLS roles.
Position Reports To : Laboratory Manager
Essential Functions Proficient in all aspects of the Laboratory Technical Assistant role. Perform moderate complexity testing accurately according to published procedures and turnaround times. Ability to recognize questionable results with escalation to MLT II or Medical Laboratory Scientist. Communicate written and verbal information to customers regarding appropriate specimen collection, transport, and test methodology. Ability to handle client service issues in an effective and courteous manner. Compliance with CLIA/CAP/DOH/DNV regulatory guidelines for laboratory testing. Ability to utilize critical thinking for problem solving. Ability to multitask effectively and accurately in a stressful environment. Required to maintain active Basic Life Support (CPR) certification. Other duties as assigned. Demonstrate Standards of Behavior and adhere to the Code of Conduct in all aspects of job performance at all times.

Qualifications
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Trained and competent in moderate complexity testing within 6 months of being hired.
Desired:
Associate or Baccalaureate degree.
One year of laboratory experience.
