Kelly is hiring a Lab Technician for one of our clients in Chicago, IL  Pay: $23/hr 6 month contract Shift M-F 7am-3:30pm Role Expectations:
• This role will focus 70% of the time on lab data entry.
• Files retain samples in appropriate holding areas; enters test data into our SAP or LIMS systems; files vendor certifications and raw materials and production inspections in the proper area.
• Participates in general housekeeping, including routine cleaning and maintenance, and performs other duties requested by management.
• Performs and documents periodic calibration and maintenance of all laboratory equipment.
• Completes data reviews for out-of-specification test results issuing SPC charts of historical results.
• Optimizes and recommends lab improvements to support 5S initiatives.
Requirements
• The successful candidate will possess a four-year degree in a science field; Chemistry is preferred, but Biology, Physics, etc., will also be considered.
• Typically requires 1-2 years of related experience using wet chemistry and testing oil-based products.
• Microsoft Office proficiency
• SAP or LIMS computer systems is a plus.
• The ideal applicant will work well in a fast-paced environment and will be able to handle stressful situations constructively.
• Excellent verbal and good written communication skills are required.
