Volt is immediately hiring for a Lab Tech I in Maplewood, MN with a well-known industry leader. In this role you will perform physical and/or mechanical analyses and tests required for research, development, or quality control of processes and products. This is a first shift position. As a Lab Tech I you will: Assist in laboratory experiments through testing and evaluation of new materials and products based on research. Perform mechanical performance tests required for research, development, or quality control of processes and products. Test or make visual observations on product samples from competitors and communicate test results to the appropriate requester. Maintain accurate technical reports for information transfer. Conduct hands-on tests with multiple pieces of equipment. This is a full time contingent opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have: Highschool Diploma Ability to lift/carry at least 25 pounds Ability to stand for 2 or more hours at a time as well as being able to bend many times through-out the day Have proficient hand eye coordination and manual dexterity, strong organizational skills, self -motivated and results driven. Solid interpersonal and communication skills, both written & oral. Adaptability to team needs and working for many individuals in various groups. Pay Rate: $22.90 hr.
