The Lab Aide will assist the Clinical Research Specimen Processing (CRSP) and Biospecimen Processing and Biobanking (BPB) staff with daily data entry, inventory, and operational responsibilities.
Responsibilities SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY: The incumbent shall work under the close supervision of Managers for CRSP and BPB.
JOB DUTIES: Data entry of the Research Specimen Scheduling Templates for billing purposes. Organizing and filing Research Specimen Scheduling Templates. Aliquoting solutions like tissue culture media, ficoll according to specific volumes. Freezer organization. Freezer maintenance, scraping frost from shelfs and doors. Placing labels on cryo-vails and test tubes. Restocking supplies. Organizing supplies in the stockroom. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from High School or equivalent with interest in the sciences. Some lab experience and/or college level chemistry courses preferred. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: B.S. preferred. The hourly pay range for this position is from $20. to $25.45 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
