Job Title: Kitchen Helper Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to assist our kitchen staff in preparing and serving delicious meals. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and a strong work ethic. The Kitchen Helper will be responsible for assisting with food preparation, cleaning duties, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with food preparation, including cutting, chopping, and marinating ingredients
- Follow recipes and instructions from kitchen staff
- Set up and break down food stations
- Wash, peel, and chop vegetables and fruits
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Assist with plating and serving meals
- Follow proper food safety and hygiene practices
- Assist with inventory management and stocking supplies
- Any other duties as assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a kitchen or restaurant preferred
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Physical ability to lift and carry heavy objects
- Willingness to learn and take on new tasks
