The Global Key Account Manager engages with the customer at all levels across the customer's global organization. You will work with PPG's regional commercial teams, and the technical, product management, and operations teams to connect customer needs to PPG solutions.
In addition to global account coordination, you will also have daily account management responsibility for a select group of specific customer locations within the customer's largest subsidiary. You will work with USCA technical service to ensure service levels are maintained, helping the customer meet its production requirements.
Finally, you will support the startup of a new customer facility, working with the USCA commercial team to ensure that important milestones are met to support the customer's needs.
Key Responsibilities Partner with regional commercial and technical teams to grow and identify new sales opportunities and build winning value propositions that allow share capture for PPG products and services. Gain approval and specification positions, Mobilize technical, manufacturing, and other commercial support as needed to maximize service levels for existing business and to support growth. Manage pricing to ensure fair compensation for the value that PPG brings, maximizing profitability. Support PPG product portfolio optimization (PPO) efforts; look for opportunities to simplify offering and improve mix/PC. Serve as an advocate for customer cost reductions, driving global efforts to support agreed-upon customer targets. Manage contracts and ensure appropriate compliance. Support global efforts to collect past-due accounts receivable. Develop and implement global relationship reach strategies for the customer(s); be a visible PPG representative within the customer's organization. Implement/coordinate/maintain Global Account Cadence with all appropriate geographical regions. Understand customer values, competitive landscape, and PPG's relative advantages. Identify "One PPG" sales opportunities and collaborate within Industrial Coatings and across other SBUs to grow sales beyond the current book of business. Qualifications Degree in business or engineering. 5+ years of sales experience Experience with coatings technology is beneficial. Experience working across multiple regions and cultures.
