Responsibilities
• Perform non-invasive Cardiology diagnostic studies• Collect ECG data and ensure proper billing• Transport patients to and from waiting room and diagnostic areas• Maintain courteous and cooperative relationships with patients and healthcare team• Provide a clean and safe environment for patients and visitors• Participate in department Performance Improvement projects• Provide age-appropriate care to patients• Work with Cardiology Nurse and Supervisor for high-quality diagnostic studies• Report unusual or critical values to Attending Cardiologist• Prepare accurate charge documents and maintain patient records• Maintain department supply levels• Use and clean laboratory equipment properly• Exercise judgment in relating physicians' orders to patient condition• Perform other assigned tasks
Requirements
• High school or equivalent• Minimum of 2 years experience in Ambulatory or Hospital based Non-invasive Cardiology Lab• Experience in exercise and chemical stress studies, ECG's, and Holter and Event Monitors setup and review• Demonstrate ability to work effectively with physicians, staff, and patients• Certified Cardiographic Technician - CCT (CCI) within 6 months of hire• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification from American Heart Association• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Healthcare Provider certification from American Heart Association• Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) certification within 30 days of hire
