We are currently looking to add a Junior Staff Accountant who will focus on maintaining financial records for the company, and has the drive and motivation to learn and grow in an expanding business.
Job Summary This position maintains financial records for the company. Will be responsible for analyzing and reconciling major customer accounts receivable. Posts journal entries as part of the month end close process for inventory reserves, AR, and AP. Provides financial status information by preparing management reports and completing special projects. Secures financial information by keeping information confidential. Maintains accounting controls by following policies and procedures, complying with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Processing AR cash timely and monitoring past due invoices. Complete all month end responsibilities on a timely basis for the following: Accounts Receivable General Accounting Journal Entries Expenditures Manage inventory reserves. Create month end management reports as part of the monthly close. Drive continuous improvement related to the accounting functions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES SUMMARY
35% Major customer accounts receivable reconciliation and deduction management 25% Cost analysis including Management Presentation to CFO 25% Monitor Standard Cost compliance through BOM and purchase price variance including the development of useable reports and presentation 10% Inventory Reserve management 5% Audit assistance Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting 2-5 years of General Accounting experience Strong Excel skills Good written and verbal communications skills Job Posted by ApplicantPro
