Overview of position:

FEDITC is seeking a Journeyman System Administrator to work at Coronado, CA. A United States Citizenship and an active TS/SCI DoD Security Clearance is required to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities:Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments.Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks.Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems.Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.Broad understanding of different aspects of IT, including hardware, software, networking, and security.Qualifications

Experience/Skills:

3-5 years of experience working with the specific types of hardware and software systems used by the Government are required.Systems administrators should possess strong problem-solving, analytical and communication skills, in addition to in-depth technical knowledge of the Government's system's hardware and software.Candidate requirements vary depending on system complexity, the types of operating and network systems being supported, and the size of the organization.Typical duties include:

Installing operating system software, patches, and upgradesAnalyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving system hardware, software and networking issuesConfiguring, optimizing, fine-tuning, and monitoring operating system software and hardwarePerforming system backups and recoveryConducting server builds 3-5 years of relevant experience.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in a STEM fieldCertification:

DoDD 8570.01-M IAT II AND MCSA relevant to the candidate's work area examples are: CompTIA Server+ certification, CompTIA Security+ certification, Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification, VMware Certified Associate (VCA); AWS Sys Ops Administrator Associate Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate; Nutanix Certified Professional OR Microsoft Endpoint Manager or previous SCCM certificationsProfessional certifications such as the Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or Sun Certified System Administrator (SCSA) are also valuable.Clearance:

Active TS/SCI clearance is required.Must be a US Citizen and pass a background check.Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by FEDITC'S Client(s)/Customer(s)/Prime contractor(s).
