Position Overview Pantheon Data is seeking a Journeyman Mechanical Engineer support to provide engineering support to the U.S. Coast Guard National Security Cutter (NSC) Acquisition Program.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, other similar engineering program, or relevant technical program. An additional 6 years work experience or 4 years of additional work experience with an Associate's degree may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree. Seven (7) years demonstrated experience with Government or large commercial vessel design, construction, and repair with primary focus on propulsion and auxiliary mechanical systems. Responsibilities: Conduct engineering design research and advise clients on technical issues or deficiencies affecting ship production, operations and maintenance Review Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) submittals from the shipbuilder for specification adherence Review shipbuilder drawings to support planned production AND Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) for technical acceptance Work with an engineering support team ensuring quality control standards of deliverables for clients Clearance Requirements: U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
Work Location: Washington, DC - USCG HQ - St. Elizabeth's Campus - 1 day onsite/4 days telework
