Minimum of 3-5 years experience in Surgical Services
Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking an Operating Room Charge RN to fill an opening with a surgery center located in Hauppauge, New York
Requirements of the Operating Room Charge RN:
?Must be a Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a BSN
?Must have RN state license
?Must have at least 1 year of leadership experience
?Must have at least 3-5 years of experience in Surgical Services experience preferred at outpatient surgery center.
?Must be able to lift 20 pounds. Moving, lifting, or transferring patients may involve lifting up to 50 or more pounds. Ability to stand for long periods of time

?The salary for this position is $91,520 - $110,240 / yr

Schedule of the Operating Room Charge RN:
?This is a Full-time position
?Facility Days: Monday-Friday, day shift, no major holidays
Responsibilities of the Operating Room Charge RN:
?The role of the Charge Nurse in an operating room provides leadership, guidance, supervision, and support to the Surgical Services team; as well as direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles as needed. In addition to general nursing care, the responsibilities of OR nurses and Charge Nurses include (but are not limited to):
?Displays commitment to the mission of the Surgery Center and its values.
?Accomplish nurse human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, educating, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining team members, communicating job expectations, and adhering to policies and procedures.
?Fosters an environment that promotes a spirit of inquiry and continuous quality improvement. Assists in the design and implementation of programs with evaluating the efficacy of treatment.
?Monitor and ensure compliance with accrediting and regulatory agencies.
?Promote, monitor, and implement the concepts of quality management and evidence-based practice. ?Monitor service areas, recommend approaches for improvement activities, design new processes, collect and measure data, review, and report performance over time, improve and redesign processes based on the evaluation, and continuously reassess.
?Provide programmatic leadership of the clinical component of assigned areas to ensure quality patient care outcomes.
?Develop and implement goals, standards, policies, educational programs, procedures, and practices of clinical care in alignment with a strategic plan.
?Manage staffing and scheduling processing including the distribution of present and future FTE's.
?Monitor and respond to situations that affect daily operations
