Austin Avenue STE 105, Denison, Texas General Job Description: Works under the direction of a supervisor, cleans and maintains offices, common areas, restrooms and training facilities .
Functional Requirements: Performs any combination of the following duties: sweeps, mops and scrubs restrooms; empties trash and garbage containers; vacuums, dusts, sweeps, mops common areas and offices; strips and polishes hard surface floors; notifies supervisor concerning need for minor repairs or additions to lighting; maintains a clean and safe work environment at all times.
Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them. Keep buildings in clean and orderly condition. Gather and empty trash. Service, clean, and supply restrooms. Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees. Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment. Mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications. Steam-clean or shampoo carpets. Polish floors. Clean laboratory equipment, such as glassware and metal instruments, using solvents, brushes, rags, and power cleaning equipment. Drive vehicles required to perform or travel to cleaning work, including vans. Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created. Move equipment, and supplies. Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating system Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
