IT Resource Manager Location Cleveland, OH : The IT Resource Manager leads the team members responsible for digital product delivery. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining engagement with each service, product or project team to ensure the team members supporting each initiative or service within their group are performing as expected. The incumbent is responsible for facilitating resource capacity and demand fulfillment activities. The incumbent leads a team involved in highly complex software systems addressing needs of systems integration, software craftsmanship, scalability, and patterns. This role may interface with a variety of business representatives and IT stakeholders. Enabling process improvement, staff development, and management skills are essential. Strategy & Planning Manage relationships with vendors supplying contractors, ensuring how we measure quality is well defined, measured, and reported on. Define and create measurable metrics and status for reporting the health of the services they provide. Collaborate with external teams / groups to elicit commitment to and facilitate execution of delivery team goals. Meet with clients, peers and decision makers to understand goals, identify and resolve business process issues. Ensure tracking and management of strategies and plans is in alignment with organizational objectives; provide visibility to these plans. Negotiate with department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company. Facilitate and oversee of team goals related. Ensure a plan is in place for key individuals and specific skillsets to ensure sufficient staff depth is in place to meet the needs of the business. Maintain relationships with peer companies to leverage experiences, successes, and setbacks. Maintains a broad knowledge of modern technology, equipment, systems, and frameworks. Contribute to a unified IT strategy in the context of the business strategy. Embrace innovation and continuously improve your approach and your team. Advocate for best-in-class team member experience in terms of tooling, principles, and patterns for modern software development. Acquisition and Deployment Ensure resource acquisition is optimized for quality and speed. Determine staffing needs and skills requirements within teams. Acquire qualified and productive talent. Request and allocate resources based on initiative/work requirements and availability. Facilitate meetings and follow up with resulting action items. Track and escalate risks and issues. Develop business case justifications for team's training and operating needs. Operational Management Manage operational costs. Provide efficient communication and decision-support to stakeholders and managers at all levels. Direct, delegate, empower, and motivate staff to successfully accomplish objectives, meet responsibilities, and complete tasks. Create and maintain development plans for each direct report, including training, skills assessment, career planning, and goal planning. Conduct activities such as staffing, performance and resource management, and strategic direction of the team. Set employee objectives, monitor and evaluate performance and provide feedback and mentoring. Incidental Functions Attend business management and IT staff meetings where appropriate. Make presentations to management, clients, and peer groups as requested. Train and share knowledge with program teams in cross functional capacities. Responsible for hiring activities and fulfilling affirmative action obligations, ensuring compliance with the equal employment opportunity policy. Formal Education & Certification Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology field of study (e.g., Information Technology, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Computer Systems Management, Mathematics) or equivalent experience. Master's degree preferred. Agile certification preferred. Knowledge & Experience 12+ years of IT experience. 6+ years of management or supervisory experience 7+ years of experience in an agile, product or service environment, advanced knowledge and understanding of systems development & project/product delivery methodology; including planning, cost management, resource management, communications, and quality management. Strong leadership skills with an ability to manage others to achieve results and exceed expectations. Proven management skills and ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks to meet deadlines. Fundamental experience generating activity status and metrics reports.
