Due to an impending retirement, our La Crosse area client needs an IT Director. As their Information Technology Director, you will be responsible for the computer systems, network, servers, and ERP system. This position is a "working manager" role, and you will report directly to the President. You will also serve, along with the other department heads, as a member of the leadership team.

What you will be doing: Manage all information technology, telecommunication, and computer systems. Plan, organize, control, and evaluate IT and electronic data operations. As a working manager your IT work will focus on Manufacturing Systems Analysis using their Epicor ERP system Manage an IT staff of 4, including training, coaching, and communicating job expectations, and appraising their performance. Design, develop, implement, and coordinate systems, policies, and procedures. Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems. Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions on a timely basis. Audit systems and assess their outcomes. Preserve assets, information security and control structures. Provide as needed support for smaller operations in Georgia and New York Prepare the IT Department's annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness. Develop and recommend long- and short-range system plans. What they are looking for: BS degree in Computer Science or Information Systems is preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered. At least 3+ years of experience in the administration and maintenance of an IT department in a manufacturing environment is required. Experience with a SQL based ERP system is required. Any experience with Epicor or Epicor Kinetic is highly preferred. Must have some experience with supervising or managing an IT staff. Strong communication and organizational skills are a must. Open to minimal travel as needed.
