12 Month Position Details: Summary of Duties:
The IT Customer Support serves a key role in supporting the staff, students, and technology needs of University Marketing and Communications. The function of this position is to provide journey level administration and support that involve the planning and delivery of customer support services. This position resolves complex problems, incidents, and requests using fully competent professional knowledge of a wide range of IT principles, concepts, and practices across multiple WSU enterprise applications, services, and hardware.
This position works independently on all levels of assigned expertise, resolving complex issues. This position will resolve problems and incidents requiring analysis and the discernment of the most suitable solution(s) and processes available. They will apply experience, knowledge, and skill to both standard and non-standard issues. They will understand and can discuss the application and implications of agency changes to processes, policies, and procedures in the assigned area of responsibility. Under general supervisor, this position is expected to maintain service levels and delivery of services by maintaining services, resolving incidents, and service requests. Required Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to area of specialization and three (3) years of experience directly related to the specialty area. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications: Relevant industry standard certification(s).
Knowledge of SCCM application.
Knowledge of MacOS and iOS troubleshooting procedures.
A basic understanding/experience working with Jira or other similar tracking and agile project management software.

Monthly Salary: Range 03 IT | $5,719 - 7,695 (Step A - M) | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28 . WSU offers a comprehensive benefits package which includes: paid sick and vacation leave; paid holidays; medical, dental, life and disability insurance package for employees and dependents; retirement; deferred compensation and optional supplemental retirement accounts.
