Responsibilities
• Responsible for technical planning and resource management for desktop support and mobile technologies• Lead projects that affect multiple Extension services• Perform complex tasks including installing, managing, and developing solutions with Windows computer systems• Lead problem resolution, troubleshooting, and software maintenance• Work with departments and programs to meet business objectives• Support video conferencing vision for the Institute• Provide technical direction, leadership, and training for support staff• Utilize system management tools and maintain security protocols• Serve as primary point-of-contact for system security issues• Stay current on new technology and evaluate new programs and software packages• Provide leadership for activities that meet the needs of all eligible clientele
Requirements
• Associate's degree and strong customer service skills or minimum 5 years of experience in network, video conferencing, or desktop support• Well-versed in medium-large Windows environments• Ability to create and follow system documentation• Familiarity with system backup strategies• Ability to work independently and as a team member• Excellent written and oral communication skills• Project management and leadership skills• Preferred: In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP and network infrastructure concepts• Preferred: Knowledge of file/print environment configurations• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in information technology, information systems, or related field
