As an Assembly Inventory Analyst, your essential job functions will include the following:
Manage Key Processes to Support Assembly Inventory Strategies (50-75% of time)
Effectively manage assembly components, accessories, and consumable inventory. Support strategies for OEM order quantities, safety stock, lead time, and delivery coordination. Review and adjust inventory stocking strategies based on customer sales and forecast. Review winter sales report and take corrective action as necessary (Forward notes, web alerts, sales status, etc). Support the execution of special buys, brokering or scrapping slow moving and/or obsolete inventory. Develop and manage reports for OEM and internal customers on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis, Partner with IT team to make improvements to JDE warehouse tools related to assembly functions. Partner with Program Management to finalize forecasting demand needs. Partner with Tire teams for tire availability and alternative options for assembly needs. Management of backorders (all winter) and port outages. Create advanced shipping notice receipt and update forward notes with estimated delivery arrival. Communicate with distribution centers and vendors to confirm shipment arrivals, delays, and holiday schedules. Determine and communicate inventory transfers to inventory item masters. Identify projected demand and supply gaps and implement solutions to protect future availability. Perform Purchasing Activities
Create purchase orders according to the forecasted demand. Review and manage open POs for take-off tires and assemblies. Assist in preparations for inventory needs with tire OEM collaboration meetings. Coordinate and process inventory returns. Perform monthly audits for invoicing and ASNs. Serve as back-up for customer invoicing processes (Ariba) Other Duties (25-50% of time)
Assist with DC operational tasks when necessary (unloading, picking, shipping, and building) to support the success of the program. Position Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Inventory Management, Purchasing, Operations, or a Business-related field, plus 0-2 years of experience in a Distribution Center. Or 4-8 years of work experience in a Distribution Center or related field with hands on exposure to ERP system utilization. ERP systems experience preferred. Deep understanding and hands-on experience in the following areas: MRP, DRP, S & OP Processes, Forecasting, Production/Inventory Planning and Scheduling, Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI). Experience in a multi-warehouse national distribution network. Ability to work as a team player towards mutual goals. Demonstrates attention to detail, good interpersonal verbal and written communication, and problem solving ability. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel at intermediate level, advanced preferred. Physical Job Requirements
